What We’re Looking For:

We’re seeking enthusiastic, energetic, and reliable individuals who are passionate about water safety, love working with children, and are eager to take on leadership and supervisory responsibilities within the program.

Key Responsibilities:

Teach swim lessons to children and adults following British Swim School’s curriculum
Supervise instructors during swim lessons to ensure quality and safety standards are met
Provide feedback, coaching, and support to the instructional team
Communicate effectively with parents, students, and staff
Assist in pool deck management, class scheduling, and customer service as needed
Maintain a fun, inclusive, and safe learning environment for all participants

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience working with children (e.g., daycare, camps, teaching, coaching)
Strong swimming ability including all four strokes, proper turns, and treading water
Previous supervisory, team lead, or leadership experience (preferred)
Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
Ability to teach students of all ages and abilities, including special-ability swimmers and adults
Flexibility to work at multiple locations
High school diploma or equivalent
Current National Lifeguard Certification or willingness to obtain it (preferred)
Ability to work year-round (this is not a seasonal role)
Reliability, professionalism, and a positive team attitude

Bonus Assets (Nice to Have but Not Required):

Additional aquatic certifications (Instructor, Lifesaving Society, etc.)
Ability to speak a second language
Sales, customer service, or administrative experience

Compensation: $18.00 - $27.00 per hour

While we teach swimming to people of all ages and abilities, most of our students are preschool and elementary-aged kids. Our instructors should like working with this age group and be good at making parents feel comfortable. It's helpful if you have experience with children or in a child-focused job, but it's not required if you can show the right attitude. The job comes with specialized training in our advanced and unique British Swim School approach.

We also have exciting opportunities with our Customer Service Team, even if you're not in the pool. These are the people committed to providing the best service in the industry. In these roles, you might talk to parents on the phone or by the pool. Wherever you are, the aim is to make everyone feel like part of the British Swim School Family as we focus on ensuring the “Survival of the Littlest.”
